Although, I hardly ever go into a horror film coma. Last time that happened, I watched Inside, I Spit on your Grave, A Serbian Film and August Underground's Mordum. It was to much at once, and I went on a 2 week horror sabbatical LOL. I don't think that'll happen this time.Drew Grimm Van Esshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01612788931230137094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8829872901342037686.post-61165239025699432312013-09-16T11:20:22.841-07:002013-09-16T11:20:22.841-07:00Fantastic. I guess all you'd need is a few words here and there; see if they all hold up.

Ha, a few comments as to your mental wellbeing might be fun as well, I tend to start going doolally after a heavy horror session.

Lots on that list I have seen, lots I haven't and you've inspired me to watch some (even though they don't have zombies in!) over the same period.

Good luck, hope someone has the straight jacket ready.WatchingTheDeadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14000707223409933962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8829872901342037686.post-81013869567790436732013-09-15T16:11:20.290-07:002013-09-15T16:11:20.290-07:00Haha. When I looked it up, I instantly knew why. It has Bette Midler. We tend to be quite forgiving, too, especially towards things like originality and budgets. If I want some good recommendations on low budget horror, I go to the blogs where folks are passionate about it.

For Halloween itself, I usually end up going with pre-70's films, as my wife is a complete wimp on horror. YOu can't beat gothic atmosphere to get you in the mood, though.

JP Mulvanettihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05381363705787780363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8829872901342037686.post-68669526048734157562013-09-13T08:38:28.693-07:002013-09-13T08:38:28.693-07:00Spoken like a true horror fan LOLSpoken like a true horror fan LOLDrew Grimm Van Esshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01612788931230137094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8829872901342037686.post-24103675737729584412013-09-13T08:37:57.708-07:002013-09-13T08:37:57.708-07:00Awesome! We like the same shit, have the same agenda. Spreading the word of films some haven't seen before to other horror fans is awesome. I used to have the time for 10 films a week; no I'm lucky to see 3 or 4. Will probably do a horror special for the fortnight around Halloween, though. There is one or two here that I ain't heard of, will check them out.JP Mulvanettihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05381363705787780363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8829872901342037686.post-14406757492804424022013-09-13T06:26:21.446-07:002013-09-13T06:26:21.446-07:00I hope. It's one of those things where you can't wait for it to come to you, you just have to make it work. Usually I'll come home and bang out at least one film before bed. However, I don't sleep to good, so I'm always up. So, when this happens I throw on a film until I pass out. Then pick it up the next day with a new one.

Congrats on the new baby! I definitely know that when the day comes and I have children, my time will be minimized but, until then, I'm living it up. Or, the baby can watch with me! They're too young to remember anyway right? Even better - I've not seen most of them before. That's a great thing about Hammer. You can watch shitloads of them and still have shitloads more to watch. They cover a wide spectrum, too - vampires, mad scientists, werewolves, zombies, psychopathic killers, dinosaurs, mummies . . . I just watched The Nanny (1965) with Bette Davis yesterday just to "warm up".Brandon Earlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04428583919973903171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8829872901342037686.post-91587735948081877062013-09-12T17:26:00.746-07:002013-09-12T17:26:00.746-07:00Awesome! I'm used to watching them alone but, when you have others around it makes for a funner experience. I've got no one to watch The Exorcist with me, though. Everyone I know won't touch that film. I'll be posting my list in a couple days as well, and it looks like we'll be watching many of the same flicks. Cheers man!
