The Gingerdead man travels back in time to 1976 and carries out an epic disco killing spree.
Back when the first Gingerdead Man (2005) came out I was a fan. Here was a movie that made fun of how bad it was and had plenty of good laughs. Alot of the laughs came from the bad effects though. I remember a part where the Gingerdead Man was shooting a gun and you could see the puppeteers hand behind him shooting the gun. Classic ridiculousness but totally laughable and funny.
The second Gingerdead Man wasn't nearly as fun as the first. The acting went from being bad in the first to atrocious in the second. I felt like they didn't even try. The title, Gingerdead Man 3: The Passion Of The Crust, was about the hardest I laughed at that one.
And now here we are with a 3rd Gingerdead Man film. This movie was awful. Me and a friend watched it together hoping we'd get some classic cheese laughs out of this and instead all it invoked was "when's this going to be over?" looks in our eyes. As well as some much deserved yawns. You know a movie is bad when it's so bad you can't laugh at it.
I don't think I'll be viewing the 4th one if they do one. Time to pull the trigger on this old dog.
Gary Busey doesn't even do the voice anymore! Instead they got some mock-me southern cowboy voice for him which didn't fit and was annoying.
This movie was just a really badly made movie with really bad actors that just happened to be about sucky disco. I felt like this movie was about the cast and their bad acting more than anything. The Gingerdead Man just pops up in from time to time to kill an annoying character in a generic way.
And the blood in the kills was CG, what the hell? Were they afraid of getting some blood on the floor of their rented skate rink? I thought that was ridiculous and this movie lost even more points for that. Totally unenjoyable film.
This isn't one I'll see fit to watch again, which is crazy because I'm a fan of Full Moon Features. This one really sucks though.
