TOP 5 HORROR FILMS OF 2013

Well, the year's almost at it's end. And we've had our hits and misses this year, like every year. But while some of the letdowns were severe, some films soared above and beyond expectations and gave us instant classics on the spot. All in all, 2013 was a good year for horror, and almost every other genre of film.

Below are the top five horror films to be released upon us this year. There's no question in my mind that these are the elite, and the ones people are still talking about in the horror community. For better or worse, they're here to stay.

And if you missed my review for any of the films listed, I've conveniently linked my reviews above the poster art of each movie!

  1. Elijah Wood? Frodo? NO!!! hahaha! I definitely need to see that, but I have to get passed the title. "Maniac" ok. gee. That's exciting. hah! Couldn't they have come up with something a little more original? Doesn't it even have a subtitle? Please, Grimm, give me something! But since it's got Mr. Frodo in it, I'll give it a shot. But it's the Evil Dead poster that I want. That is the best pic in the world. I love it. It's beautiful. Her gait, her dress, her boots, her hair, it's the whole enchilllada, for sure. And Chucky? Seriously? Well, actually, I have to admit, I always did like the little creton. Reminds me of my Uncle Red...uh on my ex-inlaw's side, of course. But it's You're Next that I'm dying to see. I work at a library...it's on hold....I think I'm number 437 in the hold queue. lol. And the Conjuring, if the movie is have as scary as the poster, eek, might have to watch it with the light on. Ah Grimm, it's been far too long. I have some catching up to do. Nice to know, when I have time, I can always get a fix right c'here.I sure hope one day all of us HBers can get together and eat cake or something. Until next time Grimm......

    1. Hey buddy! Yeah, I wish we all could get together and have a cookout or something. Watch a marathon of horror, haha. Saw you disappeared for a bit, as did I. I'm getting back into it now that life isn't in the way. Hope to see you around!
